The Zoho CRM AI Assistant is a Chrome extension that opens in a side panel next to Zoho CRM. You describe what to find, such as “contacts that share an email”. It reads your records, shows you the groups or the list with the change it proposes for each record, and writes nothing until you approve.
Deleting records and changing more than 20 records at once also ask for a final confirmation. Records it deletes go to the Zoho CRM recycle bin, where they stay for 60 days and can be restored.

No. It finds candidates that share the fields you choose, scanning up to 2,000 records at a time, and says when the scan was incomplete. Then it helps you keep the right values on one record and remove the extra one, which goes to the recycle bin. It does not merge history the way Zoho’s own merge does: notes, attachments and emails on the extra record are not moved with it.
Not unless you choose to. The side panel starts in Approve writes mode: it shows each change and writes nothing until you approve. Chat-only mode blocks writes altogether, and Full access is opt-in. Deleting records and changing more than 20 records at once ask for a final confirmation.
Yes, for 60 days. Deleted records go to the Zoho CRM recycle bin, and the assistant can put them back exactly as they were. After 60 days Zoho removes them for good and nothing can bring them back.
Yes. It matches on the fields you name, so two different people who share an office email look like duplicates, and one person with two emails does not. Review every group and list before you approve a change.
It needs a Zoho CRM edition and user profile with API access, and it can only do what your profile is allowed to do. These use cases have not been checked edition by edition yet, so write to us if you want to check yours first.
