Get a morning attention list for your Zoho CRM team

The Zoho CRM AI Assistant puts together one list each morning: overdue tasks, deals closing this week with no recent activity, today’s meetings, and new leads nobody has acted on. It only reads and writes nothing.

Zoho CRM AI Assistant is a Chrome extension that opens beside Zoho CRM. Tell it what you want to do in plain language, and it works with your CRM for you. Try Plus free for 14 days, then stay on Free forever.

the problem

The morning starts with five views and a guess

Before the team stand-up you check overdue tasks, then the deals due to close this week, then the calendar, then the new leads. Each is a different view in Zoho CRM, and the item that needed a call yesterday is in the one you checked last.

the solution

Ask for one list, by owner

Ask for it when you start the day:

Morning list for my team: overdue tasks, deals closing this week with no activity in 7 days, today’s meetings, and new leads from the last 2 days nobody has acted on.

The assistant reads four things and puts them in one list, grouped by owner:

  • open Tasks past their Due Date;
  • open Deals with a Closing Date this week and no logged call, meeting, note, email or task change in the days you name;
  • today’s Meetings for the team;
  • Leads created in the days you name with no call, task, meeting or email logged since.

Each item says why it is on the list. You set the thresholds and which owners count as your team, and you can ask the assistant to save them among its saved notes so tomorrow’s request is shorter.

  • Reads tasks, meetings, deals, leads and the activity logged on them.
  • Writes nothing. To act on an item, ask for that change separately and approve it.
  • It runs when you ask. It does not send the list to anyone or run on a schedule.

without the assistant

How to do it by hand in Zoho CRM

You can do this in Zoho CRM yourself. Here are the steps.

  1. Open Tasks with a custom view for overdue open tasks.
  2. Open Deals with a custom view for open deals closing this week, and check each one’s last activity.
  3. Open the calendar or Meetings for today.
  4. Open Leads with a custom view for recent leads and check each for a call or task.

Each view is easy to build once. Going through four of them every morning, and checking activity record by record, is the slow part.

questions

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The morning list only reads. If you want to act on an item, such as rescheduling a task or creating a follow-up, ask for that separately; it shows the change and writes only after you approve.
